White label SEO reporting: what it actually means
By Mohamed Aït El Kamel · July 21, 2026 · 9 min read
TL;DR
"White label SEO reporting" sounds like a single feature: either a tool has it or it doesn't. In practice it's a spectrum, and the gap between "basic logo upload" and "your client would never guess this wasn't built in-house" is where a lot of freelancers get surprised after they've already signed up.
This is what the term should mean, where tools tend to fall short of it, and what to check before you pick one.
What "white label" is supposed to mean
A genuinely white labeled report has no trace of the software that built it. That means:
- Your logo and brand colors, not a small badge next to the vendor's
- No "powered by [tool]" line in the footer, on any plan
- The delivery email comes from your address, not the vendor's
- The shareable report link doesn't obviously belong to a third-party product
Miss any one of these and a sharp client will notice, usually right when you're trying to prove the report is your work.
Where it usually falls short
Coverage varies less by whether a tool "has" white label and more by two other things: how it's priced, and whether every piece of it ships on the same tier.
AgencyAnalytics includes full white label (logo, brand color, custom domain, custom client-facing email) uniformly across its plan, but pricing is per client, around €17–21/client/month depending on billing frequency. The white label coverage itself isn't gated behind a higher tier, the total bill just scales with how many clients you're reporting on. Five clients runs €85–105/month before anything else, the same math covered in our AgencyAnalytics alternative comparison.
Whatagraph splits things differently: branding and custom email come on its entry tier, but a custom report domain, the part that removes any trace of a third-party tool from the URL a client clicks, is an add-on there and only ships standard on its top tier.
Swydo includes every white label control, including custom domains and branded delivery, on its single plan from day one.
Worth naming directly: SEOptimer is the tool that actually holds the #1 organic position for most of this keyword cluster, and it's a different shape of product from the three above. Its base $29/month plan is an SEO audit tool (site crawls, keyword and backlink tracking) with no white label at all. White label PDF reporting only starts at its $39/month tier, and an embeddable audit widget for lead generation is added at $59/month. It's built around auditing a site, not around pulling recurring GA4 and Search Console data the way the tools above do.
Prices and feature splits change often in this category, so confirm the current numbers on each vendor's pricing page before you quote them to a client, not the marketing homepage.
The white label checklist
Before you pick a tool, check these five things specifically, since "white label" on a pricing page rarely spells out which of them are included:
- Is the vendor's name or logo removed on every paid plan, or only the top one?
- Can you set your own brand colors, not just swap in a logo?
- Does the client-facing delivery email come from your address?
- Is there a custom domain or subdomain option for the shared report link?
- Is the PDF footer branded to you on every page, not just the cover?
Most vendors say yes to the first three by default now. The custom domain (4) is the one most likely to be an add-on or a higher-tier feature, and per-client pricing means the effective cost of "yes" to all five still depends on how many clients you're billing it against.
How the main tools stack up
| Tool | Pricing model | White label coverage |
|---|---|---|
| AgencyAnalytics | ~€17–21/client/month | Full coverage (logo, color, custom domain, custom email), cost scales with client count |
| Whatagraph | Premium monthly tiers | Branding and email included on the entry tier; custom report domain is an add-on until the top tier |
| Swydo | $69/month flat | Full coverage on its single plan, from day one |
| SEOptimer | $39/month (White Label tier) | Full white label on its second tier up; its $29/mo base tier has none, and it's an audit tool first, not a GA4/GSC reporting platform |
| GaugeSEO | $29/month flat (Freelance) | Full coverage on every paid plan; Free plan keeps a watermark |
Confirm current numbers directly on each vendor's pricing page. These change, and per-client models in particular make the total cost sensitive to how many clients you're actually reporting on.
Branding is the baseline, not the value
Once every tool in a category offers white label at an accessible price, and several now do, brand removal stops being a differentiator. It's table stakes, the same way a working PDF export is table stakes.
What a client actually pays a consultant for, once the report already looks like it came from them, is the read attached to it: which numbers moved, why, and what happens next. A perfectly white labeled report with no analysis is still just a branded spreadsheet. See what to include in an SEO report for the sections that carry that read.
